Where to begin… Morocco is EPIC! With pumping waves, incredible food and a fantastic bunch of people to spend your week with, all smothered with some cheeky winter sunshine, where else would you rather be after a long first term at uni?

For the pro dudes among us we are provided with cars so you can make your way to the gnarly barrelling reefs that line the Moroccan coast line, with overhead monster waves crashing down on the razor sharp, crumbling, beaten up rocks. But don’t be alarmed, for those of us without wind swept blonde locks, personalised short board, and a mind constantly filled with visions of glassy machine barrelling perfection, there is another option. The instructors take you to the beautiful beaches surrounding Taghazout where you spend the day chilling out and catching some sweet mellow foamy waves. A week of lessons with some of the craziest and coolest dudes around, and you’ll be ripping up the waves in no time.

We travel together (usually from Gatwick) to Taghazout where we are loaded onto a minibus and transported to the door of the Surf Berbere beach side lodge. Dinner, of which there is certainly no shortage, is served on the roof top Bedouin overlooking the bay. Morning brings warm sunshine, the sound of waves rolling into the bay just outside your bedroom window, and more food! The buffet awaits down on the terrace. Grab your packed lunch, pick up a surf board, and you’re ready to go… time to rip it up!

There’s so much more to the trip than just surfing: camel rides, beach football, kittens, exploring caves, cliff jumping, socials, making amazing new friends, I could go on for hours. It’s a trip you just can’t miss!
